Our Ministry Teams
We believe there is a reason that Jesus sent out the disciples in teams of two. We were meant to do ministry together. Teamwork makes the Dreamwork!
We believe the Lord wants us to ask for him to send workers or volunteers to do the work of ministry. Read more about it from the Gospel according to Luke.
Every organized ministry or project in our church is assigned to one of the Ministry Teams or Departments below.

Pastor Hunter was called to the ministry his senior year of High School through teaching a bible study on Philippians to his peers. For eleven years he served as a youth pastor at churches in Kentucky, Alabama, and Ohio. He also served as the Executive Director of the East Nashville Cooperative Ministry.
He earned a B.A and M.A from Trevecca Nazarene University and a M.Div from Vanderbilt University. His Ph.D in historical theology is from the University of Manchester. He is a junior fellow at the Manchester Wesleyan Research Center.
He is an adjunct professor for both Trevecca Nazarene University and Mount Vernon Nazarene University and has served as a contributor and editor for Nazarene Publishing House.
After many prayers for God to send Hunter a wife, God sent Courtney to Alabama to finish her doctorate in clinical psychology through Fuller Theological Seminary. Hunter and Courtney met in the lobby of Huntsville First Church of the Nazarene and were married eight months later! Courtney serves as a clinical psychologist and the Director of Mental Health for Primary Healthcare Centers.
God answered prayer again and opened Courtney's womb just prior to the Cummings moving to Georgia, and their firstborn son, Carlyle was born in 2016 followed by Ezra in 2017. The Cummings enjoy dancing, traveling, the mountains, and playing with their boys.
Pastor's guiding verse for pastoral ministry is Ephesians 4:11-12 NIV,
So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,
to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.
